The DWG levels overview
Our school has 4 levels: Basic, Improver, Intermediate and Advanced
(from lower to higher level)
Basic
Learn how to lead and following in a relaxed, fun and at the same time professional atmosphere.
Improver
Learn to introduce your first styling steps as well as get the necessary preparation to achieve the intermediate level.
Intermediate
Learn to intuitively respond to leading and following. Develop the muscle memory to easily add shines and styling to your dance.
Advanced
In the advanced course our teachers show you how to become the dancer you have always dreamed of.
Basic Level
Duration: 2 Months
Congratulations! You decided to join the social dance world of Salsa, Bachata and/or Kizomba.
Much has already been said about the benefits of dancing in our lives: it helps us maintain fitness, reduce stress, stimulate memory and mental agility, improve body posture, make friends, expand our environment, feel happier.
The DanceWithGeorge philosophy is focused on the mix of showing our dancers how to have fun and at the same time learn the necessary skills to become an amazing dancer.
The basic level is perfect for new dancers that want to join the amazing social dancing world and learn how to lead and following in a relaxed, fun and at the same time professional atmosphere. As well as for refresher.
Notice: To allow you to start every month with a new class, we have divided the Basic courses into A and B. The content is the same. The only difference is that they start every two months. Please check the course description to see when the A and B courses start.
Improver Level
Duration: 2 Months
Your basics are already in place, and you can start improving your styling, footwork, and arms technique in the leading/following process.
Expand your dance vocabulary in the essential steps, turns, and leading/following techniques, and enrich your dance with complex figures and elements.
At the improver level, you will learn how to introduce your first styling steps in social dancing as well as get the necessary preparation to achieve the intermediate level.
Intermediate Level
Duration: 3 Months
After 4 months of fun, learning how to dance, and meeting new people in our basic and improver courses, the time has come to bring your dancing to the next level.
Our intermediate level prepares you for becoming a dancer that can express the music, being able to improvise any song. You will learn how to intuitively respond to leading and following and develop the muscle memory in the figures in such a way that you can easily add shines and styling to your dance vocabulary.
In the 3 months, our teachers will show you figures that will prepare you to become an advanced dancer. Over 50% of the world’s social dancers as intermediate level.
Advanced Level
Congratulations! Its has been a long road but you’ve made it. Your hard work has paid off and as prize the dance world has opened you the doors to her most exclusive part.
In the advanced course our teachers show you how to become the dancer you have always dreamed of.
Dance becomes art and you become the tool to express it in the most beautiful way for your partner and the people watching. You will learn skills such as advanced dance multitasking, advanced styling, dance charisma, flow, perfect leading and following, and also find and develop your own style of dance, figures and elements to impress even the most experienced dancers.
Over 15% of the worlds social dancers are advanced level.
